Calendly is the default answer to “how do I stop emailing back and forth about meeting times,” and its free plan is enough to try that out properly before you pay anything.
What’s actually in the free plan
- One active event type (one kind of meeting you can be booked for)
- Unlimited scheduled meetings on that event type
- One calendar connection per user
- Basic Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams integrations
- A personal booking page, with Calendly’s own branding on it
Where the free plan stops being enough
The one-event-type limit is the first wall most people hit: the moment you want a separate booking link for, say, a 15-minute intro call and a 45-minute consultation, you need a paid tier. The free plan also has no payment collection at booking time and no team scheduling (round-robin or collective availability across multiple people) — both are paid-tier features.
Is the free plan enough for you?
If you only need one type of meeting and one calendar, the free plan genuinely works — it’s not a crippled trial. The moment you need multiple event types, team scheduling, or to remove Calendly’s branding from your booking page, you’re looking at a paid tier. Calendly’s paid pricing has shifted a few times recently, so check calendly.com directly for current per-seat rates before upgrading.
